Taking into consideration the fact that we live in a very mobile world and the number of portable devices we carry around on a daily basis in constantly increasing, having a very versatile charger available at hand at all times seems to be a pretty good idea. And that's exactly the type of product you're about to see as follows, namely the VersaCharger PRO presented by the people over at Boxwave since the first half of 2007, a device that will most certainly take care of all the handhelds and portables an user might carry around with him/her.

Thus, the first and most important selling point of the VersaCharger PRO is, quite obviously, it's enhanced level of versatility. The device incorporates “intelligent” electronics, which allow it to automatically sense power standards and properly convert electrical voltages, frequencies, and standards to safely charge the portable device it's connected to. However, the device's power adaptive circuitry works with a voltage range of 100 to 240 volts AC only, but since most countries around the world operate within these limits, it's quite OK.

The charger itself is useless without a cable, so the VersaCharger PRO requires either miniSync or DirectSync cables in order to work. It can provide up to 1 Ampere of power to the connected devices, and features a very accessible USB port location, thus allowing the users to charge their handhelds without occupying more than one wall outlet.

The device from Boxwave also features an intelligent chip that prevents overcharging, a solid and durable form factor, as well as foldable outlet power pins that make it extremely portable.

The VersaCharger PRO retails for around 25 US dollars, which is quite a fair price to pay for this charger, taking into consideration the very high level of versatility it can provide.
