As solar power is turning mainstream in an increasing number of countries around the world, the number of various products designed to use the free and clean energy provided by the sun is also increasing. And one such product is the 350 mAh Watt Solar Battery Maintainer launched by the people over at SunForce, a device that can provide the required maintenance power for the batteries used in a very wide range of vehicles.

Thus, the device works very well with the batteries found in automobiles, RV’s, boats, tractors, ATVs, electric fences, deer feeders, telemetry devices and more. Moreover, it's very easy to install, as it mounts on the windshield with the help of the included suction cups and connects to the vehicle's cigarette lighter (via the included alligator battery clamps) in order to constantly keep the battery at an optimum charge level.

Another important feature of the battery maintainer from SunForce is the fact that it protects the battery against natural battery discharge, since it features a built-in blocking diode. Moreover, it works right out of the box, providing power even through windows or windshields. Additionally, the device presented by SunForce solar has been engineered in order to maintain the power of the 12V starting battery, and in order to do so it provides a power level of around 350 mAH.

The product is made out of a durable ABS plastic and includes amorphous solar panels, which contain no cells per se but are created rather through a deposition process, which actually forms the silicon material directly on the glass substrate. The silicon film is what gives amorphous panels the "thin-film" nick name, and it features a laser pattern that interconnects instead of physical connecting tabs which eliminates a mechanical connection that can break down and fail. The amount of silicon used in this process produces a film, which is often up to 100 times thinner than that of a polycrystalline cell. Furthermore, amorphous type solar cells are better at generating electricity in all lighting conditions.

The 350 mAh Watt Solar Battery Maintainer is available at various retailers for around 55 US dollars, which is quite a fair price to pay for a device that will make sure that the users' vehicle batteries are kept charged at all times.
