One of the worst things that could happen to any user of portable devices is for his/her favorite handheld to run out of power exactly when needed most, and when there's absolutely no way of recharging it with the means available at hand. This is the reason why the Tekkeon company launched in the first half of 2007 the myPower GO emergency charger, as this device that can keep the users' cell phones and portable devices alive by using solely a couple of AA batteries.
The most important selling point of the myPower GO is its level of versatility. Thus, the device works with four AA rechargeable or alkaline AA batteries, which can be found in just about any store, thus assuring the fact that the user will always have a source of power available at hand. Moreover, the charger allows users to give up on all the other power adapters and replace them with a single device, as the myPower GO comes with ten adapter tips for connecting to most models of phones or multimedia players currently available on the market, as for example the Blackberry (mini USB), Motorola mobile phones, Nokia mobile phones, Samsung mobile phones (most models), Sony Ericsson mobile phones or the iPod (using your own iPod USB cable).
Moreover, the device from Tekkeon is compatible with a wide variety of add-on adapters (available separately, though) for a multitude of other 5V devices, including Bluetooth headsets, digital cameras, other mobile phones, MP3 players, PDAs, portable games consoles and PMPs. It is also quite easy to carry around, as it measures just around 6.35 cm x 8.12 cm x 1.77 cm, at a weight of around 127.5 grams.
The Tekkeon myPower GO charger is available at various retailers somewhere in the 16 – 22 US dollars price range, which seems to be quite fair, especially for such a versatile and useful device as the myPower GO can prove to be. |
