The iPod and iPhone are probably among the world's best-known gadgets and two of Apple's iconic products. However, since they're portable devices, they run on batteries that can get depleted pretty fast in certain situations. And this is exactly the reason why the iPowerRush was created, as this device can certainly boost up the amount of “juice” available for one's music player of phone.
As the manufacturer (or the US importer, Fusion Audio Technologies) informs us, this device is powered by six AAA batteries and equipped with a power on/off slide switch, as well as an universal connector for all things Apple. Furthermore, a push-button power indicator indicates the amount of reserve left in the unit, while an automatic limiting circuit prevents overcharging the device.
It's actually quite a well-known fact that Apple estimates the iPhone battery can accommodate up to eight hours of talk time, six hours of Internet use, seven hours of video playback, 24 hours of audio and 240 hours of standby time. However, at least according to the manufacturer's statement, things can be quite different should the user go for the iPowerRush, as the battery pack will extend talk time by four hours, Internet use by three, video by 3.5, audio by 14 and standby by 120 hours.
The iPowerRush retails for around 30 US dollars, which is quite an OK price to pay for a device that will keep one's favorite Apple toy running for extended periods of time. |
