The number of portable devices each person has in his/her possession at any given moment has skyrocketed during the past few years, the problem of charging them while on the go has suddenly become a very serious one. This led to the development of various multi-purpose chargers, including here the myPower ALL Plus model, launched by the Tekkeon company back in July 2007.
The device (also known as the MP3450) is a successor to the company's previous myPower ALL models (the MP3300 and MP3400) but, despite being based on their platform, provides some pretty interesting features of its own. Thus, the Plus has been fitted with an USB connector, which means that it can be used for charging a large number of handhelds, ranging from portable media players to mobile phones via the multiple adapters the device is shipped withs.
The myPower ALL Plus can also be used for charging most laptop models currently available on the market, and, according to the manufacturers, is capable of providing up to 4 hours of extra-functioning time for the user's portable computing system. And since we're talking about functioning times, it's worth mentioning the fact that the Plus model can provide up to 60 hours of extra-talk time for mobile phones, up to 42 hours of extra-music time for MP3 players or up to 12 hours of extra-recording time for camcorders.
This is all possible due to the fact that the myPower ALL Plus incorporates a powerful rechargeable Lithium Polymer battery, which provides an output of around 50 Wh, supports voltages of up to 19 V and works with an input AC of 100-240V. Moreover, the battery is ready to go in almost no-time, since a full charge takes around 4 hours.
The new myPower ALL Plus portable multi-purpose charger from Tekkeon retails for around 100 US dollars, which is actually pretty cheap for a device that will keep any user's portable devices running even when their own batteries have decided to take a vacation. |
