Bucherer has revealed, in October 2008, a new addition to its feminine Diva timepiece collection, whose exquisite gem setting is inspired by key elements of Gothic architecture. Limited to an edition of twenty-five pieces, the Carl F. Bucherer Alacria Diva Gothic features a slightly waisted rectangular 18K white gold case set with 211 rubies. Apart from its rubies, the Alacria Diva Gothic also has 169 diamonds FC, set in the case, the dial and the buckle. This number of precious stones shows the outstanding value of this item of jewelery.



The intricate dial, set with 75 round brilliant diamonds is evocative of the semi-arched flying buttresses so often found on great medieval period cathedrals. The Alacria Diva's case measures 31 x 45mm, and is fitted with a scratch-resistant crystal in synthetic sapphire. Black stingray and red alligator leathers make up the exotic strap, whose white gold buckle is adorned with 13 round brilliant diamonds.



The exclusivity of the Alacria Diva Gothic is confirmed by the unique preparation of its stones. The 54 rubies on the bezel were crafted in rectangular, rhomboid and baguette forms and the upper surfaces of the stones are set face downwards, with the rounded uncut parts uppermost. This special and unusual process gives the watch an extra touch of individuality.



Besides the magnificent design of this watch comes with a sapphire crystal glass and is water resistant up to 30 meters. The Alacria Diva Gothic timepiece has an hourglass profile and stands for feminine elegance and self-assuredness.
