The people over at BenQ are among the world's most important manufacturers of display solutions, including here an absolutely huge range of LCD PC monitors. And this is exactly the type of device we'll talk about as follows, namely the company's V2400W, launched in March 2008, which offers a mid-range set of features packed in a very attractive and stylish external design.
Thus, the main selling point of the new PC monitor from BenQ has to offer is the LCD TFT display, which boasts a 24-inch diagonal (518.5 x 324 mm display area), as well as support for resolutions of up to 1920 x 1200 pixels. Additionally, the device features a 0.27 mm pixel pitch, a 250 cd/m2 brightness level, as well as quite an OK contrast ratio (1000:1 static, 4000:1 dynamic).
Furthermore, the V2400W offers very fast response times (5 ms / 2 ms GTG), as well as 16.7 million colors and some pretty good viewing angles, as far as PC monitors are concerned (160 degrees on both horizontal and vertical directions).
It's also quite interesting to note that the monitor allows users to chose from several color temperature adjustment options, namely Reddish / sRGB / Bluish / User mode. Moreover, the device incorporates Senseye+Photo Image Technology, which sharpens images, eliminates jaggies and corrects blurs, giving one a high viewing quality via four pre-set modes fitting the user's everyday needs.
The V2400 offers quite an up-to-date (though not very wide) range of connectivity options, in the form of D-sub / DVI-D/ HDMI/ Earphone connectors. Moreover, it will most likely occupy a relatively low amount of space around the user's desk, as it measures just around 563.8 x 369.4 x 191.7 mm, at an overall weigh of around 6.7 kilos.
BenQ's monitor can be purchased for around 500 US dollars, which is a bit pricey, but rather worth it, given the features and specs this thing has to offer. |
