Over the past couple of years, the USB flash drives' market has been literally invaded by all sorts of products that come in every shape imaginable, from donuts to Star Wars figurines to whatever else you might think of. So, either in order to pay tribute to China's legacy or in order to capitalize on the notoriety of the “Mummy 3” movie, the Super Talent company launched back in October 2008 the RB_TC Series of USB flash drives, which replicates the look of a terracotta soldier.

As some of the people who read this article might know, the terracotta army, which included more than 6,000 armed soldiers, has accompanied Qin Shi Huang, the First Emperor of China, in its grave. The army, which was also accompanied by terracotta horses, was meant to replicate the Chinese emperor's conquests and successes in the next life and has become, since its discovery in the 70's, one of the best-known symbols of China (apart from the Great Wall, of course).

And in order to honor this legacy, the designers over at Super Talent (a company whose manufacturing facilities are mostly China-based) have decided to create a flash drive that has the exact appearance of a terracotta warrior, but measuring just 67 mm x 24 mm x 20 mm and housing within a very precious flash module.

Although the external design is, quite obviously, the main selling point of the device from Super Talent, the truth of the matter is that its internal components aren't too shabby, either. Thus, the drive supports both USB 2.0 and USB 1.1 interfaces, granting users transfer speeds of up to 480 Mbps, and is available in several storage variants, ranging between 1 and 8 GB.

As expected, the device has also been equipped with a LED indicator that glows whenever the device is busy (or powered), and doesn't require any drivers for most of the operating systems out there (except perhaps for the Windows 98SE, which needs a driver that can be very easily downloaded from the company's website).
