Much like most other manufacturers of PC monitors on the market, the people over at BenQ have released enough models to satisfy most of the segments of this huge market, some of them representing just updated and improved versions of past models. And that's also the case with the device you're about to see as follows, namely the FP93E S, released back in the second half of 2007, which has been entirely built on the platform of the FP93E, but features some of the most important new technologies BenQ has come up with lately.
Thus, the FP93E S is a 19-inch LCD display offers an actual display size of around 376.3 x 301.1 mm, supporting a maximum resolution of 1280 x 1024(SXGA). Moreover, it sports a 0.294 mm x 0.294 mm pixel pitch, a brightness level of 300 cd/m2, as well as as 160/160 viewing angles and a 800:1 contrast ratio. The display also provides an 5 ms response time (relatively average), 16.7 million colors and allows the users to modify the color temperature (Reddish/Normal/Bluish/User mode supported).
Moreover, in order to further enhance the user experience, the monitor has also been equipped with advanced Senseye technology, which improves the display performance. Furthermore, the device can provide a consistent and accurate color reproduction, due to the fact that it supports the sRGB color gamut.
The FP93E S also sports a dual input (D-Sub/DVI) and an audio connector, used for hooking up the 2 built-in 1 W speakers to the host computer. Furthermore, the PC monitor from BenQ is TCO03 compatible, but is also quite power hungry, as it requires around 50 W for normal functioning.
Additionally, the display sports an iKey/Kensington security slot, supports VESA Wall Mouting 100*100mm, and also provides a few interesting adjustment options, namely -5/20 degrees up/down tilting, swiveling (left and right) at 178 degrees, as well as a height adjustment system (60 mm). Furthermore, the monitor isn't exactly very slim, measuring around 429 mm x 409.2 mm x 222 mm, at a weight of around 6.76 kilos.
The FP93E S is available at several online retailers for around 360 US dollars, which is a pretty high price to pay for such a device, taking into account the actual features it can provide. |
