19-inch LCD PC monitors (either normal or widescreen) are almost everywhere nowadays, as they provide just about enough desktop space for most users' needs. And that's exactly the reason why the people over at V7 have rolled out several products of this type over the past few years, including the model you're about to see as follows, namely the D19PSS.
The V7 D19PSS is a 19-inch PC LCD monitor, which generously offers users a display area of around 376 x 301 mm, an 800:1 contrast ratio, a 4:3 aspect ratio, as well as a brightness level of 300 cd/m2 (or nits). Unfortunately, the response time is rather poor (just around 8 ms), which means that it isn't the best solution for data-intensive graphics applications.
Moreover, the LCD monitor supports 170-degree horizontal / vertical viewing angles, can display up to 16.2 million colors, and has some rather common vertical and horizontal frequencies (31 - 80 Khz / 69 - 75 Khz), as well as an 135 MHz video bandwidth.
Furthermore, the device offers quite a few user-adjustment options, including here Auto-adjust, Brightness, Contrast, Phase, H/V position, Color, OSC position, Language, Reset and requires only around 48 watts of power for normal functioning. Unfortunately, the peripheral's connectivity options are pretty disappointing, namely just an analog VGA interface, as well an audio input for the built-in speakers (2 x 2.5 W).
Moreover, despite of its rather large size, the device can't be described as very bulky, since it measures around 427 x 417 x 208 mm, at a weight of 5.1 kilos.
The V7 D1912 is available at several retailers for around 247 US dollars, which is a rather normal price tag for such a device, comparable to other similar products available on the market. |
