Since the number of devices that actively employ Bluetooth for data transfer and communication purposes has seriously increased over the past few years, with most of these portable devices being used in automobiles, quite a large number of manufacturers have begun to come up with certain products that combine all of these components.



And that's exactly the type of device we'll talk about as follows, namely the Venturi Mini, presented by the NextGen Ventury company since the second half of 2007, a very interesting cross-gadget that provides an enhanced level of functionality.



Thus, the Venturi Mini combines Bluetooth music streaming with hands-free calling and USB style charging, each of these separate functions completing each other in order to provide an unitary product.



Thus, music can be streamed from a mobile phone using the Bluetooth A2DP profile or a portable music player can be connected via Bluetooth A2DP or directly through the audio in stereo jack. Furthermore, the device can also be used as a handsfree audio system and phonebook, as it provides high quality audio via the car speakers and clear voice conversations via the built-in microphone as well as the possibility of remotely controlling the phonebook with dialing activation from the smart interface on the Venturi Mini.



As mentioned earlier, the device also incorporates an FM transmitter with RDS/RBDS, which allows users to stream music and calls directly through the car's audio system. Furthermore, the device sends caller ID and other information to the car radio display for simple and easy call management, while the phonebook contents are also displayed on the car radio display along with call status all controlled via smart interface on the Venturi Mini. Moreover, for an enhanced level of flexibility, the Venturi Mini allows users to connect any device to the audio-in and supplies audio-out for a direct connection to the vehicle stereo system or other audio devices.



Since it is powered via an automobile's vehicle cigarette lighter display, the Venturi Mini is also capable of charging other devices that are actually connected to it, via its USB 2.0 interface and with the help of an appropriate cable. Moreover, the device sports an OLED display with a natural white color and an 170-degrees viewing angle.



The Venturi Mini retails for around 80 pounds sterling (164 US dollars), which is not exactly a very small price to pay for such a device, although it's quite fair, taking into consideration the features this item has to offer.
