Quite a lot of people have dreamed at least once in their lifetime that, after a hard day at work, there was a hot bath waiting for them back home, having exactly the right temperature. That’s not entirely impossible, but things can be done a lot faster and easier with the help of the device you’re about to see as follows, namely the Smart Hydro bathtub launched by the iHouse company back in the second half of 2006.



At a first glance, the Smart Hydro looks exactly like a normal bathtub, albeit a luxury one. Thus, the bathtub has two transparent walls on either side, made from a highly-resistant glass material, and also sports two aluminum handrails, which makes it a lot more comfortable to use (not to mention the aesthetic effect). The rest of the tub is made from molded plastic and acrylic material, and fits very well the contours of a normal human body.



However, the really great features this device has to offer lay behind the very attractive exterior. Thus, Smart Hydro is not called smart for nothing, as it incorporates a very advanced control system that is in charge of every valve and every servomechanism included in the system. The user can set the exact temperature of the water, and will be alerted when the desired temperature has been reached. Moreover, the tub also offers a Keep Warm function, that will keep the water’s temperature at a constant level throughout the whole bath, as well as a self-cleaning system, which will take care of the entire tub once the user’s done washing.



The device from iHouse also provides multiple connectivity options, as it can be controlled from afar via an Internet connection, even from a web browser. Moreover, users can even activate its functions from their mobile phone, and monitor in real time the water’s temperature.



Unfortunately, the manufacturer doesn’t provide any pricing information regarding the Smart Hydro bathroom, but since iHouse is based in Brazil, it will take some time before this tub arrives in other parts of the world as well.
