In many parts of the world, telemarketing calls have become somewhat of a nightmare for a lot of people. Moreover, phone scams are at an all time high right now, and for this reason, two British inventors, Steve Smith and John Price, have come up with a device that will create what's described by its inventors as a “safe zone” between the caller and the receiver.
That possible due to the fact that the trueCall somehow “learns” to distinguish welcomed callers from unwelcome ones, whether we're talking about telemarketing, silent calls, calls from overseas call centres, fax calls, robocalls, market researchers, offensive or threatening calls, misdials, wrong numbers and recorded message calls. Then, it will actually forward the “welcome” calls to the user, while playing back a pre-recorded message for the other ones.
One of the main advantages provided by this device is the fact that it's very easy to install, since all the users have to do is simply plug it in and connect the home phone line. Moreover, it will work with a wide range of telephone equipment - cordless DECT phones, cordless analogue phones, text message phones, but the inventors do mention the fact that it works best with a modern cordless phone system.
However, phone protection does come at a price, since the trueCall retails for around 100 pounds sterling (roughly 162 US dollars), which is a more or less OK price point, give the fact that this thing could actually prove to be quite useful around the home.
Additionally, the trueCall allows users to record all of their conversations, on the trueCall Call Recorder, which is supplied as a standard SD memory card. This can be http://www.fadedyouthblog.com/plugged into a computer and one's recordings can be transferred to a hard disk using trueCall Message Centre software. The
trueCall Call Recorder cards can store either 70 hours or 140 hours of telephone conversations and messages, and sell for an extra 25 or 35 pounds sterling respectively (40 or 56 US dollars).
This is not the only surprise the inventors of trueCall have in store for their future customers. Apparently, they're also prepping a trueCall Extender unit, which will protect each telephone installed to different telephone sockets around the home. In this way, all the user's phones will be protected. The extender unit will cost an additional 20 pounds (32 US dollars). |
