Flashing on the type of the pill, it also assists the user by announcing the number of pills to be taken. Every time a lid is opened, an automated voice gets activated. And at the end of the day, the family can check if the day's dosage is followed as every lid opening is time-stamped and recorded.

This ingeniously designed and uber-helpful medical device gets its juice from the user's home phone, hence eliminating the need of internet connection. Selling for $200, this unit however requires monthly subscription and online registration in order to actually be activated. But we guess that this is just a minor issue (although some people might not be quite keen on spending an extra sum each month for a device they've already paid a fixed premium for).
