The MedSignals Smart Pillbox allows you to effectively monitor medications and prevent mistakes. This innovative portable machine assures that medicines and pills are taken correctly by alerting the patient when it is time to take a pill, what pill to take, and what instructions are associated with that pill. Activated through the patient's home phone, there is no internet connection required. This well-designed pill box is actually a device that not only helps to store four various type of pills smartly but also alerts the user with a beep when its time to take the pills. Flashing on the type of the pill, it also assists the user by announcing the number of pills to be taken. Every time a lid is opened, an automated voice gets activated. And at the end of the day, the family can check if the day's dosage is followed as every lid opening is time-stamped and recorded. This ingeniously designed and uber-helpful medical device gets its juice from the user's home phone, hence eliminating the need of internet connection. Selling for $200, this unit however requires monthly subscription and online registration in order to actually be activated. But we guess that this is just a minor issue (although some people might not be quite keen on spending an extra sum each month for a device they've already paid a fixed premium for). The device holds four drugs in separate, programmable compartments, each with its own associated signals. No more loading pills day-by-day into pillboxes. Voice announcements repeat how many pills to take and associated warnings you chose, the number of beeps match the number of pills to be taken, the LED flashes the number of pills to take, while text appears on the screen, in English or Spanish, indicating how many to take and what instruction or warning to heed. If the time isn’t convenient, press the Snooze button for a 30-minute delay. Or, if you wish to skip the dose, press the Snooze button twice to silence it until the next scheduled dose.
