No idea on why you would want to carry around a portable microscope, but should the need ever arise, do remember the name ViTiny, as the company has the solution to this hypothetic need, namely the Fun 50 portable digital microscope. ViTiny is a digital microscope that scientific geeks might love. It is a tiny digital microscope that fits in the palm of your hand and can be brought anywhere since it can also fit in your pocket.
ViTiny has a lot of features that make it more user-friendly than the traditional microscopes. The traditional microscope is very expensive, difficult to use and most importantly, not portable. Not one of these attributes describes the ViTiny microscope.
ViTiny being digital, has the ability to capture the images you are inspecting. Using Fun 50’s 5-90x zoom, you can take a picture of the object you are viewing. Another good thing about this is that you no longer have to put the object you wish to view on a slide beneath the lens of the microscope, all you have to do is put the ViTiny Fun 50 over the object. To be able to study the object more, the images you have in the digital microscope can be transferred to your computer via USB cable.
ViTiny comes in three magnification options, which have a 5x optical magnification and 20x digital magnification; 12x optical magnification and 48x digital magnification; 24x optical magnification and 90x digital magnification.
The device features a 262K TFT display and functions such as snapshoot, photo storage, real time function, and it can save the images directly into the PC. With a 320x240 photo resolution, the ViTiny Fun 50 allows the storage of 60 photos. However, so far, the manufacturers haven't released any price related details, which means that you'll have to contact them directly for more thorough information. |
