Although the current Polaroid brand has almost nothing to do with the former glorious photography behemoth (well, nothing but the name, of course), the firm that has acquired the rights to use the respective name has released several more or less interesting multimedia products over the past few years. And one of the respective products is the particular model you're about to see as follows, namely the Polaroid Freescape 4360 Wireless Media Player, released back in the first half of 2008, a device which offers quite a large storage capacity, as well as several other attractive and useful features on the side.
First and foremost, it's important to note that the PMP has been equipped with a 4.3-inch TFT color LCD screen, which delivers a 480 x 272 pixels resolution (not exactly great, but not that bad either). Furthermore, the player also incorporates a WiFi 802.11 b/g module, which means that it can be connected directly to the Internet via an access point, in the same time allowing users to upload songs and podcasts a lot easier. Additionally, the device also supports wireless player-to-player sharing, which makes it an even more attractive offering.
The Freescape 4360 is extremely versatile from the perspective of the compatible file formats, since it works with MPEG4, WMV video formats, MP3, WMA, WAV audio formats, as well as JPEG photo formats. Moreover, it incorporates an FM tuner, which means that users will be able to enjoy their favorite stations as well.
It's also quite important to note that the portable player from Polaroid incorporates a rechargeable Li-Ion battery, which offers enough “juice” for around 16 hours of audio playback or 4 hours of video playback. However, the battery has affected in a fairly small manner the device's dimensions, as this player measures just around 22mm x 80mm x 144mm. |
