Virtual entertainment is the future, and it would seem that the people over at Yello Mosquito know this only too well. And that's because they've launched back in early 2007 the Argo video glasses,
a brand new type of compact personal display that uses a revolutionary optical system to provide a crisp image, just as you would watch content on a 35-inch screen display at 6 feet away.
Much in the same way as pretty much all of the other similar devices available on the market, the Argo video glasses are equipped with dual TFT LCD displays, which offer full color and a resolution of 320 x 240 pixels. This might not seem like much, but it's quit enough to generate the illusion of watching images displayed on a widescreen TV.
This pair of glasses was custom designed to match the rest of your gadgetry kit, such as iPods (touch and iPhone included) or Zunes, with a simple direct connection. But it also works with many other devices that offer support for an AV output, including game consoles like Sony's Playstation, Microsoft Xbox and Nintendo Wii, as well as still cameras, VCRs, set top boxes, portable DVD players, even mobile communication devices with TV-output and much more. It's useful to know that the portable device is compatible with both NTSC and PAL video systems.
Size does matter when wearing glasses, therefore the makers have developed a lightweight and comfortable form factor for the Argo. Moreover, in order to make things even better for the user, the glasses also come with detachable light shield and a pair of earphones.
Interested in Argo? Well, if you really want to have one of these, you should know that they retail at the Yello Mosquito online web store, for a reasonable price tag of about 200 bucks a pair. |
