Somewhat of a newcomer in the electronic industry, the Mach Speed Technologies company offers a range of portable media devices, and their Trio line provides users with a wide selection of media playback and recording features. Regarding the TRIO line, the 819 media player features an integrated 1GB Flash memory and a lot of other options, at a decent price.
On the outside, the player reveals a 1.8'' 65K LCD display and a full USB 2.0 interface. The company claims that the player was built to last 10 hours on a single recharge. Which would be great... The player's capabilities include the support for MP1,MP2,MP3,WMA,WMV,ASF,WAV, AMV music and video formats, so almost all the file formats available on the market.
The reasonable dimensions of 90 x 39.5 x 7.5mm allow the user to carry the device in all kind of bags, suitcases, or, why not, on a neck strap, as it sports a 70 grams casing. Apart from an originally round cornered milky white design, the fellows from Mach Speed have added a couple of extra multimedia entertainment functions, including movie functions, JPEG picture viewing, as well as support for the already mentioned audio file formats.
In addition to all these, the player comes with an integrated hi-fi FM tuner, that allows the user to save up to 40 preset stations, for later viewing. Not to mention, the ability to record directly from the radio your favorite radio show.
The player's sound can be customized according to the user's music taste, choosing from seven EQ settings. The Mach Speed trio 819 comes complete with 1/8'' jack earbuds, an USB extension cable, a quick start guide and driver disk. The player supports English, Spanish, Dutch, French, German, Italian and Portuguese.
