When it comes to USB key and MP3 player combo, the Packard Bell's best version on the market seems to be the Audiokey player.
The player weighs only 30grams, it's light and is definitely going to slip in any of your pockets. The device runs on a single AAA battery, which provide up to 12 hours of continuous playback. The Audiokey's interface is said to be a rather slow one and the file management, laborious. An integrated equalizer allows the user to customize the listening settings, choosing from several ones, such as normal, rock, jazz, pop, classical and extra-bass.
As most of the today players, this one provides a built-in microphone, which enables the owner to store external sounds. But, don't expect the recording quality to be as higher as with Samsung's YV-150 recorder or any professional device available on the market. The company claims that the recording time can reach 32 hours at 512MB storage capacity. Probably, the surrounding sounds are also picked up. As for the playback capabilities, the Packard Bell device is capable of reading Mp3 and WMA file formats.
I almost forgot to mention the built-in 128 x 32 dots Dot-Matrix LCD display with back light that adds the unit a more serious allure. It sports a two line scrolling display, where then user can get information regarding the track name, artist or album, complemented by the battery status, the volume and the time information. It also supports ID3 tag, meaning the suer gets all the information he/she needs regarding the track, artist, album and more.
All in all, the player sports a price tag around 120 pounds. Which is not bad at all! |
