Transcend revealed in July a new digital photo frame called T.photo 720, a device that features a nice design and a new high resolution 800x480.
With a 7 inch widescreen TFT panel, the T.photo 720 is perfect for viewing pictures with high clarity and detail. The T.photo 720 supports the most popular digital camera JPG and BMP formats, and users can choose to view photos one at a time, in slideshow view, or in a thumbnail view.
Another new feature of the T.photo 720 is the AOS (Automatic Orientation Sensor), which detects when the T.photo is rotated horizontally or vertically, and automatically adjusts the image placement on the screen for optimal viewing.
T.photo 720 is equipped to play movies and videos, with support for AVI, MOV, MPG, MP4 3GP and Motion JPEG video formats. The T.photo also functions as an MP3 player and an FM radio with up to 20 station presets.
The device allows users to listen to their MP3 songs or radio stations while viewing photos at the same time. The T.photo also lets users to set custom MP3 or FM radio daily alarms.
T.photo’s has a standard 3.5 mm jack and high output internal speakers. The gadget has a card reader that accepts most of the memory card types and a new MobileCard slot for direct adapter-free input of M2 and microSD cards. Also it has a built-in USB host connector to allow the use of USB flash drives.
It can be used like a desktop clock/calendar, clock/radio, or alarm clock. The Calendar mode displays a photo or slideshow on the left side of the screen, while showing a digital clock and a calendar on the right.
T.photo 720 provides a remote control, which gives users the option to play audio and video files without having to press buttons on the frame itself. For the 121 USD price, i think it has some interesting features.
