Transcend has released a fairly large number of portable music players over the years, which combine more or less advanced features with quite an interesting design and extra-features. And that's also the case with the T.sonic 615, released back in the first half of 2008, which allows users to practice their karaoke skills wherever they might be.
One of the main points of attraction of the T.sonic 615 is represented by the karaoke-style lyrics display, which allows users to sing along to their favorite songs. And since we're on the subject of the display, it's also an interesting idea to mention the fact that the player sports a vivid dual-color OLED screen display that clears text at any angle and in any light.
The T.sonic 615 also supports variable track playback speeds, as well as 13 languages including menus, song/album title, artist name and lyrics. Moreover, for an optimum music experience, users can also choose from the 7 available equalizer effects, including a customizable USER EQ setting.
The device also supports a rather wide array of files, namely MP3, WMA, WMA-DRM10 (subscription music) and WAV music formats, at compression rates ranging from 32Kbps to 320Kbps. Additionally, it comes packed with a built-in FM radio with 20 station presets and even supports FM recording.
Moreover, the device has also been equipped with an advanced digital voice recording system, which also sports VAD (Voice Activity Detection) for high quality gapless audio recordings. It's also important to note that the T.sonic 615 records audio clips in ADPCM (WAV) format.
Transcend's T.sonic 615 offers a relatively decent amount of storage space, since it's available in either 2 GB or 4 GB capacities. Furthermore, it's powered by a rechargeable Li-Ion battery, which offers a functioning life of around 15 hours. |
