Over the past couple of years, the German company TrekStor has managed to keep up with the huge number of MP3 players' manufacturers originating in Asia in general, and China in particular, by launching a series of models that combine good looks and a solid build. That's also the case with the i.Beat move M model, the second device from the i.Beat move family and quite different from its bigger brother, the L version.
Thus, the i.Beat move M has been equipped with a 1.8-inch, 65.000-color CSTN LCD display, which offers users a 27.5 mm x 35 mm viewing area and a relatively unimpressive resolution, of around 128 x 160 pixels.
Like the L, the move M is compatible with most multimedia files, including AVI (128 x 160 pixel), MP3 (CBR/VBR, 32 - 320 kBit/s), WAV (8 - 16 kHz), WMA (32 - 320 kBit/s). Moreover, it supports DRM (Digital Rights Management)-protected files as well, namely the WMA DRM9 format.
Since we're on the subject of playback, it's also interesting to note that the move M sports a built-in equalizer with numerous settings (3D stereo, Bass, user-defined, Jazz, Classical, Normal, Pop, Rock), as well as various play modes, namely Normal, Repeat song, Repeat all songs, Shuffle, Repeat shuffle, Folder, Repeat folder, Shuffle folders, Play function. Additionally, it can display various pieces of information regarding the respective song (supports ID3 tags and file names). Actually, there are no visible differences from the L model as far as playback and file compatibility are concerned.
Additionally, should the users happen to get tired of all that music, they can always turn to the built-in FM tuner (with 25 preset stations and the possibility of recording the broadcast in WAV (8 - 16 kHz) format). The i.Beat move M can also be used as a personal voice recorder, since it features a built-in microphone.
The move M offers exactly the same storage capacities as the move L (1 GB, 2 GB, 4 GB or 8 GB flash modules), and also sports a microSD card slot for extra memory. |
