Ain't Robopanda cute? Yes, it really is. But, besides its apparent cuteness, it is a talkative and interactive little friend. With its bright animated eyes, it's impossible not to play with it. Robopanda can tell stories, it can play games, sing songs, and talk to kids. All these activities are remotely controlled from a switch placed on the animal's bottom.

Being initially designed to work without the use of any remote control, the bot is operated directly by touch and sound signals. It features a couple of playing modes, such as training mode and menu mode. When being in the last one, the robot will tell jokes, play games and sing as well, allowing its user free access to all its files. Using the cartridge you can change the card that stores all its voice files and motion data. In fact, every inch of the robot's body hides a voice feature. The tummy, the legs, the arms, everything can be used in order to activate a certain function or feature.

It comes with two activity and story cartridges and several safety sensors. The robot is made out of hard resistant plastic, so do not try to squeeze it, you'll only hurt yourself. All in all, this is nothing compared to other robo pets out there, like Pleo!

To get an idea of how exactly Robopanda works, you should know it gets powered via 8 built-in motors, uses a sonic sensor and the latest touch sensor technology, as well as an accelerometer tilt sensor, safety sensors and more. The Panda has also been equipped with some LED indicators, to give users some clues regarding its functions.

Robopanda is powered by 6 sized and 4 AA batteries. For whom it may concern, the robot has also won some prizes in 2007. Not bad for 150 bucks a piece!
