LifeCore Fitness LCT1000 H...
[ View all gadgets from LifeCore Fitness ]

Treadmills are extremely useful sports devices, since they allow users to exercise and lose some weight by running without actually having to leave the gym or, better yet, the comfort of their own home. This is exactly the type of product you'll read about as follows, namely the LCT1000 HR from LifeCore Fitness, which allows users to run at speeds of up to 20 kilometers per hour.

Thus, the device has been equipped with a deck measuring 20x58 in. and an orthopedic belt that has been installed at a 12% elevation, thus allowing users to pace their running at an optimum level. Furthermore, it's powered by a 3 HP, heavy-duty 1000lb elevation motor, which, as mentioned earlier, allows it to reach speeds between 0.5 – 12 mph (0.8 – 20 kilometers per hour).

The LCT1000 HR has also been equipped with 2.5-inch crowned rollers, plus an inter-cooling motor system and a 4-wheel drive mobility system. Additionally, it comes packed with quick keys and handrail controls for speed and elevation, plus a wireless and contact heartrate monitoring system (polar chest strap included). Unfortunately, the device does have a shortcoming, namely the fact that it only supports weighs of up to 180 kilos (400 pounds).

Even if we're talking about a device designed for sports, the LCT1000 HR also offers users certain entertainment options, in the form of a connector for the iPod / MP3 player and a couple of speakers, so that users will be able to listen to their favorite songs. Furthermore, if they feel up for a little reading, the device also sports an adjustable book rack.

The LCT1000 HR from LifeCore Fitness sells for around 1,900 US dollars, which is not a particularly small sum, but, then again, the truth of the matter is that nobody can really put a price on health, after all.

I purchased a Lifecore T900HR treadmill in December 2007. As of December 2009 it has broken down on me 3 times! Each time was in the middle of a workout nearly causing injury. Lifecore sent me replacement motorboards the previous two times that I had to install myself. I will not purchase anything from this company. ADVICE: AVOID LIFECORE.
