[IMG=1The Audex Motorola Cargo Jacket, manufactured under the Burton brand was released on the market in the first half of 2007. Technically, we are looking at one unfamiliar piece of clothing especially designed for snowboarders, which includes some electronic elements meant to deliver more comfort and a little bit of entertainment to the snowboarder.
The Audex Motorola Cargo Jacket protects the “snow dancer” against all sorts of weather conditions related to winter sports and delivers iPod music through Bluetooth technology.
Let’s see specifically what snowboarders get if they purchase this jacket though. In relation to the electronic part, you should know that the jacket comes with a Bluetooth system compatible with any Bluetooth-enabled phone or with the latest iPods, an iPod control interface with Play/Pause/Stop, Track Forward/Back, Volume Up/Down commands placed on the right sleeve, a pair of stereo speakers and a mic.
The jacket does not include an iPod player but it comes with an Audex mp3 player with 512 MB capacity, measuring 95mm X 20mm X 30mm, weighting approximately 30 grams and also comes with a backlit LCD display. Moreover, the manufacturer used the Audex radio frequency technology which allows the user to control an iPod remotely, with no wires needed. Practically, you attach your own player to the jacket and you can control it by using the Audex iPod control system.
The jacket also features a waist gaiter, an adjustable cuff closure, a goggle pocket, a pocket key clip, as well as oversized venting/organizer chest pockets. The mesh-lined Burton Audex Motorola Cargo Jacket is made of storm-lite 5.0-c fabric, has a thermacore insulation and crossflow venting to deliver superior comfort to the snowboard fanatics.
It can be purchased for around 835 US dollars but I recommend you to buy it during the summer when the price goes a little lower. |
