Over the past couple of years, the people from Logitech have launched a fairly wide range of stereo entertainment systems, including several models which offer an extensive level of iPod compatibility. And that's also the case with the particular model you're about to see as follows, namely the Pure-Fi Express Plus, which not only docks the iPod (or the iPhone), but also delivers a high-fidelity, omni-directional sound. Of course, one might say that once you've seen an iPod docking station, you've seen them all, but things are a bit different in the case of the Pure-Fi Express Plus. And that's because this particular model has been equipped with omni-directional acoustic technology, which allows users to enjoy the same level of audio quality wherever they might be around the room. Another very important selling point of the Pure-Fi Express Plus is represented by its level of portability. Thus, the device can either be plugged-in the mains or it can run on batteries, and also includes an integrated carrying handle, which means that users can actually pick up the audio system and move it from room to room. Furthermore, the device from Logitech also sports a built-in clock with alarm system, and is also accompanied by a wireless remote control, which gives users control over its functions from around 30 feet (10 meters) away. Unfortunately, the connectivity options of the Pure-Fi Express Plus are not particularly impressive. Thus, even if the device supports the iPhone and all iPod models with dock connector, it only features one extra 3.5 mm auxiliary input, which can be used for connecting other portable players. The Pure-Fi Express Plus sells for around 99 US dollars, which is a more or less OK price point for this thing, especially since the sales package also includes a Wireless (IR) remote control, iPod/iPhone Universal Dock adapter trays, Quick-start guide, Warranty and safety guidelines and a 2-year limited hardware warranty. |
