Although it's best known as a manufacturer of plasma displays, the Japanese company Panasonic has also released a fairly large number of LCD-based TV sets over the years, including here the device you're about to see as follows, namely the Viera TC-37LZ85, launched back in the first half of 2008, a device that offers a fairly large display size, as well as other interesting extras on the side.
Thus, the LCD TV set has been fitted with a 37-inch TFT panel (IPS Alpha technology), which supports a maximum resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels but also provides an overall dynamic contrast ratio of up to 10000:1. Furthermore, the device has a native aspect ratio of 16:9 (Widescreen), but supports several aspect control functions, namely Full, Just, 4:3, Zoom for 480i/p resolutions and Full, H-Fill, Just, 4:3, Zoom for 1080i/p resolutions.

The display from Panasonic also offers quite a surprise in the area of audio output, as the TV set features 2 speakers, which provide an overall audio output of 20 W (10% THD, 8 ohms, 80 Hz -17kHz) and allows the TV set to generate surround sound, as well as BBE ViVA HD3D sound.
Like most other devices of this type, the Viera TC-37LZ85 features a wide variety of connectivity options, including here HDMI, DVI, Composite video, S-Video, Component Video, PC, analog and digital audio inputs, as well as Composite, digital and analog audio outputs. Furthermore, the device also sports an SD card slot, which allows users to view directly the contents of SD cards, as well as a VIERA Link interface.
The Viera TC-37LZ85 from Panasonic can be purchased for around 1,200 – 1,400 US dollars, which is not that bad a price, taking into account all the features and specs this particular device can provide. |
