The Cabasse Eole is one sweet-looking satellite loudspeaker that will fit in virtually anywhere, in any room and any décor, simply due to its small size and timeless design. For small to medium size rooms, this satellite can do wonders, as it needs quite a small place for installation on tabletops, or shelves, wall-mounted or residing on nifty floor stands; of course, if the room allows it, you can even place the Cabasse Eole satellite directly on the floor or hanging from the ceiling with pretty much the same success.
It comes in a small spherical cabinet with a shape so neutral that it will blend in any décor, no matter how modern or retro. The spherical shape was chosen both because its neutrality relating to the environment and for its special acoustic characteristics that instantly break all standing waves in the enclosure; the absence of the parallel walls dramatically helps for a better sonic reproduction with less fear of cabinet coloration.
The Cabasse Eole satellite is a 2-way, 2-driver ensemble, with a most neat coaxial driver array, for perfect directivity and in-phase operation. The midrange 10T15/2 driver sports a 4” diameter cone and in its middle resides the DOM18 tweeter; these drivers sport P2C cone and a soft dome, respectively, for strong and precise sound reproduction. Despite the small dimensions, this driver complement runs with 91dB sensitivity and can deliver a 70W continuous power output with a staggering short-term peak of 490W.
The enclosure is magnetically shielded so placing it in the vicinity of sensitive video equipment is safe and no distortions will occur. The Cabasse Eole satellite speaker works in common 8 Ohms impedance so finding a suitable amp will not pose any trouble. |
