If money is no concern for you and your on a quest to find a sound as close to perfection as possible, you should check out the Dynaudio Evidence Master – the flagship loudspeakers in Dynaudio's labs. These are no ordinary loudspeakers and neither will you step into them every day: the Evidence Master are proof that high goals can actually be attained, and audio engineering can actually develop and build loudspeakers with such an impressive set of capabilities that they can indeed be called one of the most natural units ever produced.
First of all, when speaking about the Dynaudio Evidence Master is their size: a 1,93 meters high loudspeaker is not your day-to day transducer, and that's a fact. The Master is actually made of 3 different cabinets: 2 identical for the bass frequencies and the middle one for developing the crunchy, presence-rich mids and the shimmering, crystalline highs. Needless to say that the internal strutting is quite sturdy, as one of the main goals standing at the bottom of the Dynaudio Evidence Master was to obtain an enclosure free from coloration, resonance and vibrations interfering with the response of the driver complement. The stacked structure resides on a large and massive baseplate with spiked feet, ensuring optimal decoupling from the floor.
Each bass cabinet, placed as extremity of a giant d”Appolito array, runs with dual 8” woofers with massive 3” voice coils, dual neodymium magnets and ferrofluid cooling. The bottom end reaches 20Hz and is simply tremendous with any kind of audio media, music or movies. The middle cabinet contains the two 6” midrange drivers with hybrid magnet structures, sporting pretty much the same constructive feats as the bass ones but differently-tuned , offering exceptionally-crisp mids and a most lifelike, present response. The HF sector is as well reproduced by a dual array, running with 72mm magnets moving pure aluminum wire voice coils, ensuring a distortion-free performance up to 26kHz, at no matter how high a power level.
Indeed, with a capability to endure more that 600W RMS continuous power, the Dynaudio Evidence Master is a true house-wrecker, if pumped hard. These speakers run in 92dB sensitivity and can develop as much as 126dB sound pressure level, selling for prices around $90,000 a pair. |
