The Genius SW-5.1 1500 theater system is the smaller brother of the SW 5.1 3000: it looks almost the same, but it can blast some 45W only. Basically, it is the same 6-channel home system based on the MDF cabinet used for the subwoofer and actually the bass system has inside it is a 6.5-inch driver as well, but this time it produces only 20W.
The remaining 5 satellites are loaded with 3-inch drivers 5W each and pumping waves from 80Hz to 20kHz, while the woofer can go as low as 20Hz, which is way lower than the woofers in higher series can go.
The Genius SW-5.1 1500 can definitely be the complement of choice for gaming consoles (if you’re not the type of over-reacting gamer), and casual movie watching or music listening habits.
The small and compact size of this home theater system makes it perfect for installing in almost any room with minimal efforts as far as connections and assembling are concerned.
The satellites can fit in almost everywhere, whether we’re speaking about placing them on each side of your monitor on your desk or hiding them among books on your shelves. The compact woofer is also easily conceivable in your room and this is really nice, especially if you’re not that willing to show your home theater system off.
The Genius SW-5.1 1500 comes with an on-the-wire remote control, which sports an on-off function button and the bass level port; the cool thing about this remote is the fact that it also features a headphone jack and this can come in very handy if you plan to race or shoot some bad guys when playing on your computer at night.
Price tag for the Genius SW-5.1 1500: around 60 bucks. |
