Docking stations for Apple's famous player, the iPod, are not exactly a novelty, since just about every important name in the industry has come up with a product of this type at some point in time. And that's also the case with JVC, who, back in the first half of 2007, has launched the JVC RA-P10, a device that can best be described as an interesting mix between an iPod docking station, an alarm clock and a radio tuner.
The JVC RA-P10 portable audio system from JVC features an ultra-compact form factor, but the best part is that it can be used with iPods, since it comes packed with a built-in iPod dock and FM tuner. The FM tuner is welcomed anytime, as the user might get bored of the music stored in his/her iPod at some point. He/she can choose from 20 different preset stations, while searching for their favorite radio show.
The device runs on 6 AA batteries and includes an AC power supply for more flexibility. Moreover, the JVC product can also be used as an excellent clock radio, featuring a built-in alarm clock with a snooze function, a date display and a unique room temperature display to inform you on just how hot or cold the surrounding environment really is.
An important feature is the built-in iPod Dock where you can easily connect, control and charge your iPod. To add extra pleasure while listening to your favorite music, you can use the integrated speaker system. it sports a blue back illumination system, which makes the player visible in dim light conditions.
The power output is of 4W per channel and it would really seem that the manufacturers thought about everything, so they provided the system with a nice remote control, allowing users to control the item while laying in the bed or at a picnic with friends.
Moreover, the JVC RA-P10 is not even that expensive, as it can be found at various retailers for around 90 US dollars, a rather OK price point, all things considered. |
