The ZUR 6.5 IC DM is MB Quart engineers' response to the space-challenged installations such as bathrooms or hallways; usually, such areas can't offer enough room to mount any kind of loudspeakers. Even more, in some cases, installing common, “boxed” speakers can be quite impractical as is in bathrooms, for example. The MB Quart ZUR 6.5 IC DM manages to blend in perfectly the small size and shallow mounting depth that make it handy and easy to retrofit, with the compromise-free manufacturing and acoustic capabilities.
These loudspeakers come quite handy in every situation when you need stereo audio but there isn't any room for more than one speaker; in small rooms, bathrooms or hallways where two speakers are highly impractical, these units can save the day. Besides being capable to deliver real, 2-channel sound, the ZUR 6.5 IC DM from MB Quart are even more useful as is not taking away any space, thanks to its recessed, in-ceiling installation; even more, the front grille made from perforated aluminum can be painted in custom colors so that you can also benefit from the decoration freedom: make this unit blend in with the décor or create contrasting nuances for a different view.
The driver complement consists of a 6.5” Titanium Wet Powder Coated (WPC) polypropylene cone bass/midrange woofer with a generous rubber surround whose bottom end extends down to 50Hz, for a neat bass and pleasurable, rich listening experience. The two 1” neo-titanium-dome tweeters are placed on a low-reflexion bridge, slightly tilted in opposing sides for a wider dispersion and better stereo field reproduction, and they can go as high as 22kHz.
The MB Quart ZUR 6.5 IC DM can drive a max of 100W in 8 Ohms impedance. They are priced around $225 per unit. |
