If in the computer field manufacturers decided to create multifunction devices, such as all-in-one printers that do multiple tasks, famous producers like Panasonic have created hybrid recorders/players to deliver more comfort for the home user. Take the DMR-EZ37VK model for example. What can it do? It is a DVD player and recorder that also comes with a digital tuner and an incorporated VHS VCR. Technically, this device can play, record, and convert from one single location.
First of all, the recorder. Thanks to the ACCUTUNE Digital Tuner the DMR-EZ37VK can record TV signals, digital and analog, producing a beautiful picture even under difficult reception conditions, such as when there are obstacles interfering with direct signal access. The image is recorded on DVDs discs at high quality. While most of the recorders use 250-line standard horizontal resolution the model here offers twice as much, 500 lines which means a 4.7 DVD is filled with up to four hours of recordings at impressive vibrant, vivid and crisp image quality.
Another important feature of this model is the One-Touch 2-Way Copying. Thanks to it users can easily convert VHS tapes into DVD and vice versa with the touch of a button. When doing tape-to-DVD copying a handy function present into the recorder reads recording start (VISS) signals on a tape and automatically creates thumbnails on the DVD discs which means your DVD recording will look in one way or another similar with computer produced materials.
Regarding playback, as a possible buyer you should know that the DMR-EZ37VK can play your DVD movies in standard format but unfortunately Panasonic decided not to make it compatible with DivX movies.
If you got the idea and consider that Pansonic’s DVD recorder/player fits well into your living room you should know that the DMR-EZ37VK can be purchased for about 300 US dollars. |
