The Swans VA8-OS is one neat piece of audio technology that will deliver great sound wherever you might be, indoor or outdoor: it is an all-purpose, all-weather loudspeaker that can endure the inclement atmospheric conditions while still being capable to offer high-quality acoustics.
With hardware made from stainless steel and brushed aluminium, there is no fear that something will deteriorate them even under rain or sleet, in foggy or very hot climates: the Swans VA8-OS has been built to last. The cabinets are weather-resistant and have been crafted using very durable ABS with UV solar protection for exceptional behavior and great looks spanning on a longer time.
The Swans VA8-OS units sport an almost unlimited placing versatility: these loudspeakers can be loaded in both horizontal or vertical positions, on corners and on poles, and even more, they have an 180-degree pivoting bracket for ultimate directivity.
The Swans VA8-OS runs on a 2-way, 2-driver complement, in a front-firing bass reflex vented architecture. The 8-inch bass/midrange woofer has an aluminum cone with rubber surround and also boasts a bumped back plate and vented pole piece; the 1.5-inch voice coils ensures fast dynamics and can drive as low as a hefty 40Hz.
Furthermore, the HF driver in the Swans VA8-OS is an 1-inch aluminium dome, ferrofluid-cooled tweeter, powered by ferrite magnets and sporting a wide dispersion for better acoustics, up to 20KkHz. This loudspeaker can handle as much as 150W in 8 Ohms impedance and 87dB sensitivity. Moreover, it's not even that expensive, as it can be found at around $460 per pair. |
