The CP-6371 is a living proof that you need not spend a heap of money to be able to bring home a pair of extremely neat floorstanding loudspeakers that will provide you with countless hours of passionate listening. In case you are on a budget and yet are not too willing to make too much of a compromise as far as your transducers are concerned, the Usher Audio CP-6371 may be one of the best choices you could ever go for.
Sporting a distinctive look with a noble and stylish appearance, the Usher Audio CP-6371 loudspeakers have been designed to cover your needs for exceptional sound in the medium-to large room. Sitting on a massive baseplate with extended feet, the cabinet of the CP-6371 is a strong and sturdy enclosure made from solid wood and MDF, with a beautiful sculptural aspect; the front baffle of this loudspeaker is 1.5” thick for an almost complete acoustic inertness. Even more, the baffle is slant and keeps the driver in perfect time alignment for an even better acoustic field deployment.
The Usher Audio CP-6371 is a classic and sports a 2-way driver complement. Unlike the 6311, the 6371 has received an additional driver, for a more authoritative response and for a rocher, more consistent acoustic field.
The woofer section is placed in a separate enclosure in the upper part of the cabinet and sports dual 7” midrange/bass drivers with concave cones and dustcaps for increased efficiency in moving the air; these drivers ensure the rumbling 30Hz bottom-end and renders this speaker perfect for use in any configuration even without a dedicated subwoofer. It also manages to reproduce sparkling midrange sound, neatly blending in with the HF response. The tweeter has been placed on the top of the Usher Audio CP-6371, in another faceplate to avoid any potential diffractions and to better isolate its performance from the response of the other driver. The superior limit of the HF unit reaches 28kHz and is simply perfect for any kid of media, from movies to SACDs.
Capable of handling 110W, the Usher Audio CP-6371 works in 4 Ohms impedance with 90dB sensitivity and can be yours for around $2,900 a pair. |
