Here's definite proof that when you join carbon fiber and motorcycles, something magical happens, and it's called the Triumph Speed Triple. I promise you to make serious efforts to drop this heavily ad-like tone for the rest of the news.

A 1050cc triple engine (capable of 130 bhp) purrs at the heart of this motorcycle, and when the speed is too much for you, the Triumph Steel Triple gladly lends you the services of its twin 4-piston, 4-caliper brakes. As for rear brakes, the bike features a single 220mm disc, Nissin 2 piston sliding caliper.

The vehicle also comes with fully adjustable anodized Showa forks (43mm upside down with adjustable preload, compression damping, rebound and dual rate springs), plus fully adjustable Showa monoshock rear suspension (134mm travel).

But the really great thing – for those who know how to ride a motorbike as mean as this one and also have large enough pockets – is that some of these models will get carbon-fibered. It is widely known that this kind of revamping magnifies tenfold the cool factor of the item subjected to the treatment.

These special Triumph Steel Triples are 55 in number – no more, no less – and their heat shields, mud guards, infill panels, sprocket covers, cowls and flyscreens will all be made of carbon fiber; the anodized mirrors and the black “chunky” handlebars complete the already awesome picture. Riding a sleek monster such as this one in the dead of night, when the highway is all yours and you feel like some nocturnal wraith and all that – well, you get the idea. It's almost worth the additional $11,800 one would have to pay to get the matte black carbon-armored issues. Almost.

According to Triumph's website, the performance levels of the Triumph Speed Triple are as follows: maximum power: 132PS / 130bhp / 97kW at 9,250 rpm; maximum torque: 105Nm / 77ft.lbf at 7,550 rpm.
