The complete name of
this type of gimmick is actually LCD “Write your own message” Debossed Card, and it is actually available in a limited edition. I will tell you where you can find one at a cool price, but first you must know a little more about it.
These cards will allow you to write personal notes on them with the added bonus that they will make it look like written on an LCD device. Do not be fooled, however, as they are made out of 100% PCW recycled paper, adding extra points to style if used for gift wrapping, for example. They come with an alphabet guide, just so you don't get the message out wrong. This is in the shape of a sticker containing all the letters of the alphabet and the numbering from 0 to 9.
I don't think anybody would go wrong with them from the start, but the
Yellow Owl Workshop, which sells them for 4.50 USD each, did their job and packed this alphabet sticker. They are also available at
upandfold, at 7.90 Australian dollars. I only guess the currency is the Australian dollar since that is the website’s location.
Included in the package you will also find a
custom made envelope, which is 7 x 4 inches (17.8 x 10.2 cm). This is a very creative idea for making your gifts really stand out from the rest, or make an impact on a gadget-loving friend who will most likely see that the card from you is being well preserved.
I know I would be impressed if my friends paid so much attention to details when giving me a gift and I am sure that there are many others out there who feel the same.
We are just a few, but there are many of you, Softpedia users, out there. That's why we thought it would be a good idea to create an email address for you to help us a little in finding gadgets we missed. Interesting links are bound to be posted with recognition going mainly to those who submit. The address is
