If you're the kind of person that likes to build his or her own computer, you're probably thinking of buying something that not only performs above average but also lasts more than just a few days. Or you might want pure, raw power with quite a few issues that tend to appear after using the computer for an extended period of time (aka months). If money is on your mind and your pocket is not a bottomless sack ready to engulf the entire world, you're probably going for
AMD as the supplier for your rig's processor!
And it just so happens that Advanced Micro Devices recently launched not one, not two, but eight processors to complement its AMD Athlon II family. High performance, low-power and even lower cost is definitely what these babies are all about and there is one for everyone, considering that AMD now has completed its family with dual, triple and
quad core processors that plan on proving to be worth more than the money you're paying for them.
Time to let you know what the names of the processors are, right, friends? First, the Athlon X2 235e, a 2.7GHz processor that goes for about 69 USD. Next in line is the 240e, with 2.8GHz and 77 USD. The X3 400e (2.2GHz) goes for 97 USD, while the 405, with a frequency of 2.3GHz, has a price tag of 102 USD. If you're curious about the X3 425, you should know that the 2.7GHz processor will be worth 76 dollars.
Last of the X3 line is the 435 with 2.9GHz and a price of 87 bucks. The only two left are the X4 600e, with a tag of 133USD and a speed of 2.2GHz, and last but not least, the AMD Athlon II X4 605e with 2.3GHz, worth 143 dollars. Whether it is gaming, media or amateur video editing, you'll probably be quite satisfied with one of AMD's latest offers!
