I remember a time when the graphics market was so competitive that companies really struggled to stay on top. I mean, it wasn't just 3DFX or NVIDIA; there were a lot of companies trying to get the upper hand. Nowadays, however, all you hear about is NVIDIA this and
ATI that. Oh, speaking about ATI, guess what has just shown up on our radars? Yup, specs and photos for the
ATI Radeon HD 5750 and HD 5770 graphics cards.
Set to launch on October 13, these graphics cards really mean business, ladies and gentlemen. I've rarely seen so many connectivity options (DVI, DHMI, Display Port are, of course, present) in one card and I have to admit that for the first time in some years, NVIDIA seems to really have some competition. Since I started by mentioning the HD 5750, I should let you know that the card will feature 720 stream processors, as well as a core that's clocked at 700 MHz.
As for the HD 5770, it has 800 stream processors and a core that's clocked at 850 MHz. And as for the 1GB GDDR5 RAM, it is clocked at 1.2GHz. As for the price of the card, it will be selling at a price of about 159 USD. The HD 5750 will be available in two versions: 512 and 1GB of RAM, running at 1.15GHz. The price for the 512MB one will be set at 109 USD, while the 1GB 5750 will be going for 129 USD.
Considering the price of these cards, I'm pretty sure we'll be seeing a lot of requests for the new ATI Radeon HD 5750 and 5770 graphics cards. And why not, seeing how us gamers are already paying a lot of money on computer hardware?
