Although more and more DSLR manufacturers push onto the market entry-level and mid-range cameras of this type that use SD memory cards (either SDHC or SDXC) for storage, there are still quite a lot of photographers out there who can't be parted with their high-speed, high-capacity Compact Flash cards, and for this reason ATP has just released its high performance ATP ProMax Compact Flash 650X memory card, that can reach a data transfer rate of 96 Mbytes/s (650X), making it the fastest on the market.
According to ATP, the ProMax Compact Flash 650X, available in 16GB and 32GB flavors, utilizes advanced TurboMLC technology to boost the transfer speed of the CF card to 650X.
TurboMLC technology offers significantly higher life expectancy than regular MLC NAND flash and performance is comparable to SLC NAND flash.
Also, the multi-platform compatibility of the ProMax CF 650X makes it more convenient to use.
"Using the latest flash storage technology, ATP Electronics is continually committed to producing high quality compact flash memory cards that enhance the end user’s experience with speed, durability and storage capacity.
The fast data transfer speed of the ProMax CF 650X makes it the superior performance choice for serious DSLR camera users," said Michael Plaksin, ATP Vice President of Sales and Marketing.
Before we go, we have to say that we've been testing one of these things for the past month or so, with the results pending in a short upcoming review...and as a small spoiler, they're actually extremely impressive.
