Although usually known for its low cost laptops, Acer also has one of the most elegant lines of All-in-Ones computers available right now, the Taiwanese company just expanding their AIO range with two new Aspire AZ3100 and AZ5700 offerings.
Sharing the same stylish design as the previously announced Aspire Z5750/Z5751, but, this time, catering to both AMD and Intel fans, the AZ3100 and AZ5700 come in with a complete feature list that should send shivers down the spine of more established competitors in the AIO market.
Although different, both systems come with Bang&Olufsen 5.1 sound, Full HD displays, HDMI out ports, 802.11 b/g/n and Gigabit LAN connectivity as well as a wireless keyboard and mouse, multitouch support being limited to the Aspire AZ5700.
This 23 inch display model is “fueled” by a Intel’s 3.2GHz Core i5-650 CPU paired with 4GB of memory, a 1TB hard drive, TV tuner, IR blaster and Intel HD graphics, the latter coming in as a bit of a disappointment to me.
Unlike it's older brother, the Aspire AZ3100 packs a Nvidia built graphics solution, the GeForce 9200 GPU, together with a AMD 2GHz Athlon II 170u CPU, 3GB of memory and a 500GB HDD, all tucked behind a 21.5 inch Full HD display.
“The elegance and convenience of the
all-in-one desktop is becoming increasingly popular with consumers,” said Steve Smith, senior business manager of consumer desktops for Acer America.
“We’re pleased to offer our customers more choices for this practical form factor, which is appealing for its unique blend of features and modern architecture.
In addition to our premium system with a 23-inch HD display, touch panel and TV tuner, we also offer a smaller, budget-friendly version with a host of features and ample power, ideal for dorm rooms, office nooks and lofts.”
Available right now, the Aspire Z5700-U3112 come at $1099, while it's smaller brother, the
Acer Aspire AZ3100-U3072, carries a $599 price tag, making it a sweet deal considering its gorgeous design and pretty decent feature list.
