Let's face it, the vast majority of business users out there don't exactly need a top of the line computer in order to get their work done, especially when you consider how powerful mainstream and entry-level PCs have become nowadays, so Acer expanded their professional Veriton line with four new offerings, including two all-in-one PCs and two new nettops.

Since these new products are destined to the corporate sector, Acer has chosen to go with a more subtle exterior design, adopting a simple silver and black paintjob, while also adding Windows 7 Professional to the mix.

But let's move on and see what these new models bring to the party.

I will start with the 21.5-inch display packing Veriton Z410G, that features a dual-core 3.0GHz Intel Pentium E5700 processor together with 2GB of DDR3 RAM inside its svelte chassis.

An Intel Graphics Media Accelerator X4500 is also included together with a HDMI output, Acer also offering eight USB 2.0 and an eSATA port as well as a matching PS/2 keyboard and mouse and 802.11b/g wireless connectivity.

Next in line is the 18.5 inch Z290G that comes with an resistive touch panel, but goes for a much slower 1.8GHz dual-core Atom D525 processor, 2GB or DDR3 memory, four USB 2.0 as well as fanless operation and 802.11b/g wireless connectivity.

Both all-in-one models come with a 320GB hard drive, other storage options not being available.

Moving on, we go to the two Veriton nettops, the N282G being the more powerful of the two, thanks to its 1.8GHz Atom D525 dual-core processor and Nvidia Ion 2 graphics.

Other features include 2GB of DDR3 memory, a 320GB hard drive, 802.11 b/g/n WiFi, Acer also adding a wireless keyboard and mouse to the bundle, for some added value.

While it comes with similar features, the Veriton N281G packs just a single core Atom D425 processor and Graphics Media Accelerator 3150, making it a lot more slower then its older brother, although this also comes with 2GB of DDR2 RAM and a 320GB hard drive, just like the N282G.

Moving on to pricing, I can't really say the Veriton line will suit everyone since these new computers don't come that cheaply, the Z410G AIO setting you back $719, while the smaller and significantly slower 18.5 inch, touchscreen enabled Z290G goes for as much as $599.

The two nettops come have a similar pricing policy, since the Veriton VN282G-UD525W begins at $449 while the Veriton VN281G-UA425W  has a starting price of $399.
