You know how once in a while you remember about something that makes cool stuff but forgot about it? This is just how it happened with Logitech. I have forgotten that it makes speakers as well. Today, July 14, 2009, Logitech announced the release of four new speakers with 360-degree sound, extending its line of multimedia speakers. Unlike standard PC speakers that use forward-firing drivers, the four new Logitech multimedia speaker systems feature 360-Degree Sound, or omni-directional acoustics, which creates a substantially wider sweet spot.
The Logitech Speaker System Z523 and Logitech Speaker System Z323, both include satellites and a subwoofer. The Z523 has two sleek satellites and a 6.5-inch down-firing subwoofer for that deep bass you can feel more than you hear. Provided with 40 watts (RMS), the Z523 is surely to fill your room with bold and dynamic sound. You can turn down the volume quickly if the neighbors complain about the noise, thanks to the convenient on-speaker controls. The Z323 is here if you don't need wall shaking power but still demand good
bass reproduction. The 30 watts (RMS) of power and the down-firing ported subwoofer will do just that.
For increased versatility, both the Logitech Z523 and Z323
multimedia speakers include dual RCA jack and a 3.5 mm jack so you can connect headphones, your Logitech Squeezebox network music player, a gaming console, DVD player or iPod with ease.
The Logitech Speaker System Z520 and Logitech Speaker System Z320 come in stereo. If you don't want to make space in your room for a subwoofer, Logitech’s new stereo multimedia speakers are just the right choice. They are stylish and can fill a room with sound, no hassle included. The Logitech Speaker System Z520 brings your music, movies and games to life thanks to an amplified two-way design and 26 watts (RMS) of power. The Z520 speakers are loud enough for a small party and detailed enough for subtle tones. The Z320 are the smallest and more portable of the new line and can fill your office, or cubicle, with 10 watts (RMS) of sound. If you only want to enjoy tunes from your iPod or listen to your headphones privately, simply plug them into the auxiliary jack and you won’t even need to unplug the Z520 or Z320 speaker systems.
Suggested retail prices are $69.99 for the Z320 and Z323, with availability starting with August and September respectively, while the Z523 and Z520 will be available starting with July for a retail price of $99.99, respectively $129.99.
