If I were to read Arctic, I would first think about a Romanian firm that used to build refrigerators. Actually, what I'm referring to is the re-branded name of Arctic Cooling, that is now known simply as Arctic, a company that has just expanded its product portfolio, namely with
the introduction of one keyboard and two mice, thus breaching the peripheral field of this digital market.
Meet the K381 super-slim keyboard, and the M551 and M571 gaming mice. Just judging by the naming, we can easily relate to the fact that these are the company's first-ever peripheral devices.
First of them, the K381 slim keyboard, measures a mere 430 by 115 millimeters, with a thickness of just 1.8 centimeters, while weighing in at 555 grams, complemented by a USB connection interface. Highlights on this would be the low-pressure keys for easy typing and the twelve office-targeted buttons, as well as the $24.95 price tag. Available now, the K381
comes in a choice of either black or white.
As for the gaming mice, the M551 and M571, Arctic designed them with a so-called durable coating that looks cheap to me. The shape of the rodents doesn't look good either, at least from my point of view.
How I see it, the shape is way too extruded and might give users a little strain in their wrists. Technically speaking, both mice pack a laser optical sensor rated for 2400 dpi resolution. The M551 also embeds
an LED sensitivity indicator, and can be yours for just $24.95.
The M571, on the other hand, sports a third button, near the scroll wheel, enabling gamers to add another shortcut. Complemented by an adjustable weight system, the M571 costs $29.95.
