One of the first to open their stand at CeBIT 2010, it seems, Asus has rapidly put on their newest creations for our colleague to see. He was impressed by the design of this new display that Asus has named LS246H. One rule can be applied to the design of this display and that is written on some car mirrors, so when looking at the pictures, pay close attention because objects shown there may actually be slimmer than they appear.
Now, this
LCD monitor from Asus is the real deal, present day technology with design that will make working on it a pleasure and a little twist on the lower right side, which makes using it a delight. It is 23.6 inches in diagonal on the wide-screen format, the optimal size, if you ask me, for computing needs. That is, of course, if you are not a graphic designer of some sort, but then again, you will not be using one of these monitors if you are.
The LS246H is a Full HD LCD display with a gray to gray response time of just 2ms and 50,000:1 contrast ratio. A practical aspect of this new monitor that Asus presents at CeBIT is the integrated
headphone jack and perhaps the coolest part is the wheel I have mentioned before, which delivers easy and fun control over your digital display. It offers a nice touch sensation and runs very smoothly.
Although it is very slim, thin, you name it, the Asus LS246H boasts a brightness of 250 cd/m2 and has a viewing angle of 170 degrees H and 160 degrees V for whenever you are vacuuming or doing something else around the house and also need to take a glance at your monitor.
I don't like it when manufacturers keep secrets from us and especially when they are teasing us with
cool products; they should unveil some pricing and availability information. Oh, well, we'll let you know when we find out extra details regarding this matter.
