Our colleagues at CeBIT haven't left the Asus booth yet and are only now bringing out the future technology for you curious gadgeteers out there. Because they have come very
well prepared for this year's CeBIT event, Asus has more impressive tech to show to the world. The USB 3.0 protocol can now be found on one of their laptops as well, and as you can see, they have put a testing USB 3.0 external drive on the testing table.
We already know that the SuperSpeed USB 3.0 is about ten times faster than the USB 2.0 that we're all using now, but we also know that few computing systems actually integrate the support for this newer protocol. Asus also knows this, which is why they have made the N73JN laptop USB 3.0 compatible, so that they get a head start on the newly born market. Benefiting from the Asus external HDD placed at CeBIT, they have proven the high speed of transfer that can be achieved with the help of the N73JN and that of the fresh protocol.
Although USB 3.0 is a major feature on this laptop that
Asus recently announced, there are other aspects you might be interested in, like the fact that it has a 17.3-inch HD LED screen capable of 1,600 x 900 resolution performances. It comes with an Nvidia GeForce GT 335M, Blu-ray disc and has Bang & Olufsen ICEpower speakers. Plus, it comes with up to 8 GB of RAM and weighs around 3.2 kg.
Those who have laid their eyes on it say that it offers very good
overall performance and with this configuration, I do not see any reason why this USB 3.0-compatible laptop wouldn't do so. I can also tell you that in a matter of weeks, you will probably have a closer look at it, as it will come in our test labs and we will be able to give you more detailed info about the N73JN then.

We are just a few, but there are many of you, Softpedia users, out there.
