Just so I won't repeat the same sentence, this time I will say that it's either digital signage growing as a market and becoming very profitable or it's just the InfoComm show that made so many companies take out products related to digital signage. Aten has just announced at InfoComm 2010
several HDMI-enabled video products, especially developed for a wide variety of applications including (hah!) digital signage and home theaters.
"The VanCryst™ product line symbolizes our commitment to the professional A/V market,” explained Sampson Yang, CEO, ATEN. “The line includes professional A/V solutions that can be tailored to different industry requirements including corporate conferencing, healthcare, finance, information technology, as well as home theaters, digital signage and entertainment.”
Mind that all of these are
professional audio/video products, now dubbed VanCryst, summing up virtually all of the needed components to build various flexible and integrated solutions for video-related applications. The VanCryst product line includes the HDMI Video Splitter VS0108H that you can see above, the HDMI Matrix Video Switch and the HDMI Video Switch. First is a video splitter featuring eight HDMI ports, enabling customers to send one high-def audio-video source to eight HDMI-equipped displays simultaneously.
Supporting virtually any HDMI-enabled products, such as Blu-ray players, satellite or cable set-top boxes and media players, the
HDMI Video Splitter is available for the sole price of $399.95. Might sound expensive, but just consider buying seven more Blu-ray players, the same movie seven more times and synchronizing the whole rig, and it instantly sounds dirt cheap. The HDMI Matrix Switch is a four-port HDMI switch that enables users to route content from any source to any output, available for $799.96, while the HDMI Switch features eight input ports, and costs $399.95.
