Audi just made it public that hidden cameras will be set-up in all Audio Centre service areas as part of the company's new Direct Reception initiative that will enable its customers to have real-time video feedback, as well as communicate live with the mechanics, while the latter
diagnose and repair their cars.
"Service departments throughout the industry are often accused of baffling customers with science - by offering ours full exposure to the work undertaken on their cars, and the ability to talk through that work with the technician involved, our aim is to demystify the process as fully as possible. We want to ensure that everyone who entrusts their Audi to us for
servicing and repairs knows exactly where they stand and exactly what to expect.” said Jeremy Hicks, Director of Audi UK.
Customers that desire so, will now be able to have direct audio-visual feedback from their cars, as the technicians work on them, directly from the company's reception areas. Even more, they will be allowed to talk to the engineers directly, with service advisors available for
clarifying any questions or doubts that might arise.
All this will be possible thanks to the new “Audi Cams” and two-way audio links. This initiative was started to give clients an even greater trust in their car-company, as well as the service, seeing proof of the problems in real-time.
