So, Apple does it again and releases a new version of their iPhone calling it the iPhone 4. The new gadget went through a few changes during the upgrade process and because the exterior design is one of the characteristics modified on the fourth model, users will now have to start over when purchasing accessories for it, simply because
the old ones won't fit. One of the companies giving the start in the “Accessory Marathon” that will last for a few weeks from now is Belkin.
Their fresh lineup includes a lot of different types of accessories, from protective cases to protective films and all of them will be available sometime towards the end of June in America and select European countries. The company also promises that throughout the year, they will keep producing more accessories,
as they did for iPad. But let me start telling you about the iPhone 4 gimmicks just announced. First of all, the grip cases, which have the same last name, Grip. There are the Grip Groove Duo pictured here and five other models. Except for the Edge one, which costs $29.99, all the others will be retailing for $24.99.
Belkin also has the Shield Cases, a family of only four members, namely the Shield Eclipse, Fusion, Shock and Micra. These are a little more expensive as they offer increased protection. The prices for them are similar to those of the cases in the Grip series. The Verve is not a music band if you ask
Belkin; instead, they will tell you that it is a new lineup of cases built especially for the iPhone 4 and its movie rendering abilities. The Verve Cinema, for instance, features a kickstand, which allows users to watch movies on their favorite Apple smartphone.
The company introduced four armbands as well, all called Fit. The banker's choice, the ProFit armband for iPhone 4, is the most expensive in this family, with a $39.99 tag. The rest will cost you $29.99 for the OneFit and FastFit and $24.99 for the DualFit.
The remaining items on Belkin's “new accessories” list are the overlays, screen protectors for the iPhone 4's display. PrivateScreen Overlay (privacy protection), MatteScreen Overlay 3 – pack (glare-reducing protection) and ClearScreen Overlay 3 – pack (I think it's pretty “clear” what this one does) will all be available for $19.99 and $14.99 (the last two) at the end of June this year.
