Belkin Pulling the Curtains on the Surf, Share, Play and Play Max Wireless Routers

Just recently, Belkin has introduced some new products, namely the Surf, Share, Play, and Play Max Wireless Routers that will allow customers to play games, music and HD videos, and even share photos and print wirelessly from anywhere in their homes. Ever since multimedia content boomed, people keep looking for new means of having a better and richer experience with photos, videos, music and all that jazz.

"With that in mind, we created a line of wireless routers based around the activities people want to do most. We made our Surf, Share, and Play Routers powerful enough to give great networking experiences, and we added easy-to-use apps to enable these activities. Now, even the most novice of consumer can create great experiences in their home and across their network," said Jim Wagner, General Manager of Belkin.

The Play Max Wireless Router has a price of $129.99 and provides customers with high-speed Gigabit ports for media-extensive apps and simultaneous Dual-band networks for the best possible speed and coverage. It features 2.4GHz, suitable for web browsing and picture sharing, and 5GHz for streaming media and video games, while also delivering capabilities like UPnP server, VPN support and pre-configured wireless security.

Play Wireless Router is the model featuring a $99.99 price tag, and is claimed to deliver the fastest and most reliable speed for streaming content, with simultaneous 802.11n Dual-Band, topping at 300Mbps.

The Share Wireless Router, retailing for $79.99, is the one created for simple sharing and document access from multiple computers, while the Surf Wireless Router has a $49.99 price, and allows users to surf the web from anywhere in their houses. All the models have 256-bit WPA/WPA2 and 64/128 WEP encryption, as well as being compliant with both Mac, OS X v10.6 and v10.5, and Windows 7, Vista and XP.
